Residential Structure Fire - 3251 Old Sam's Creek Rd.

December 15, 2009 - 1045hrs

At 10:45hrs, PFD was paged to 3251 Old Sam's Creek Rd. to a camper fire that was endangering a residential structure in the PFD Rural Fire District.  Kingston Springs FD was also paged out for automatic aid.  The first arriving units advised that the camper was fully involved and approximately 5' from the structure with fire extension already into the attic space of the residence.  Crews were also faced with 2 propane tanks attached to the front of the camper.  Crews pulled 2 - 1  3/4" attack lines - one for the camper and one for the attic space of the residence.  Crews quickly knocked down both fires, especially the rapid spreading attic fire.  Water was provided by tanker shuttles.  Fire damage was minimum in the structure except for the attic.  The rest of the structure suffered medium to heavy smoke and water damage.  No one was home at the time of the fire.
