 INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the Pegram Volunteer Fire Department's home page.  We are located at 308 Highway 70 in Pegram, Tennessee.  Pegram is located in Southeastern Cheatham County bordering Metro Nashville Davidson County.  We are owned and are a department of the Town of Pegram.  PFD is an all volunteer fire department and we currently staff 16 members 24 -7, including Paramedics, EMT-IV's and medical first responders.

 Flood - 5/2/10

On Saturday, 5/2/10, the rain began to fall and did not end until late Sunday night.  Several flash flooding conditions occurred from this heavy and quick rainfall.  But the most significant and tragic occurrance was the record crest levels from several area rivers in Middle Tennessee.  Pegram and Southern Cheatham County were affected by the Harpeth River.  It broke it's old crest record of 32.2 ft and set a new estimated mark of 38 ft.  More.

  

 Residential Fire - 12/15/09

 At 10:45hrs, PFD was paged to a camper fire that was endangering a residential structure in the PFD Rural Fire District.  Kingston Springs FD was also paged out for automatic aid.  The first arriving units advised that the camper was fully involved and approximately 5' from the structure with fire extension already into the attic space of the residence.  More.   

 

  

 Woman Rescued from Burning Home

September 22, 2009, a woman was rescued from her burning home.  PFD responded automatic aid with the Kingston Springs Fire Department on a confirmed structure fire.  Engine Co. 502 was the first unit to arrive on scene from PFD.  Soon after entering the structure, the IC confirmed one victim still inside.  Lt.   Pegram FF's Honored for Rescue

At the October 2009 meeeting of the Pegram Board of Mayor and Aldermen, the two Pegram Firefighters that saved the life of a woman from her burning Kingston Springs home, were honored for their pure bravery and heroic actions.  Chief Brent Stuart presented Lt. Michael Fennell and Engineer Nathan Stanley with Heroic Awards on behalf of the Town of Pegram and the PFD.  After this, State Representative Phillip Johnson then presented both men with a proclomation from the Tennessee House of Representatives and the State Senate.  You can read the entire article from our local newspaper, the South Cheatham Advocate, by clicking page 1 and page 8 to be linked to 2 PDF files that you can zoom in on to read.

 

 

  Residential Structure Fire - 2/3/09

At 0451hrs, PFD was dispatched automatic aid with Kingston Springs FD to a residential structure fire at 1099 Miller Rd.  Engine 502 and Tanker 511 arrived on scene first.  Crews found a double-wide trailer structure fully involved with a propane tank roughly 15 feet away from the burning structure.  Crews pulled 2 - 2 1/2" attack lines - one to cool the propane tank and one to start suppression operations.  More.

 

 

 Residential Structure Fire - 4/20/08

At 1710hrs, PFD was paged to respond to 4024 Beverly Hills Drive for a residential structure fire.  Kingston Springs FD was also paged out automatic aid.  Cheatham County Sheriff Deputy 909 on scene advising flames through the roof and all occupants out of the structure.  Engine 502 and Tanker 511 responded due to no operational hydrants available.  More

 

 

Residential Structure Fire -  3/20/08

At 1010hrs, PFD was paged to respond to a residential structure fire at 567 Thompson Road, heavy smoke and flames showing.  Kingston Springs FD was also paged out for automatic aid.  Chief 551 also requested Ashland City and Two Rivers FD's for manpower and water.  Engine 502 arrived on scene and reported heavy smoke and flames already venting from the C/D side roof.  More

 

 

 Commercial Structure Fire - 3/5/08

 At 0553hrs, PFD was paged out to respond automatic aid with the Kingston Springs Fire Department to a commercial structure fire at a Sonic Drive-In at 106 Luyben Hills Road.  The first KSFD unit on the scene set up command and advised all responding units that all occupants were out of the building and heavy black smoke was showing.  More
